Yes, I am the guy who interviews investment experts on my podcast and brings those interviews to you weekly...
But what a lot of people don't know, is that I hear stories almost daily of contractors going off to start their own businesses...tired of "working for the man" and hoping they can do it better...
Lots of them make it...you know who they are. Maybe it's your uncle, maybe it's that annoying kid from trade school..
But many simply get burnt out and they GIVE UP! And that drives me bananas...
So I asked my husband and all of his buddies in the trades...
At first I was nervous to send the email because it was long. I thought, if these people are ANYTHING like my husband, I'll lose them after the first sentence… but I sent it anyways and sat by my phone waiting to hear back.
It took a couple days because...they're contractors...that's how they roll, right? ;) Then, the voice-to-text emails started rolling in from overwhelmed contractors telling me THEY were in over their head...
Their stories were quick, but they were all the same.
Some "recruited" their wives to help...
Others closed up shop and went to work for someone…
And others were still drowning.
Now mind you, all three of those scenarios above result in some level of stress. Not many husband/wife teams work well together, nobody wants to "admit defeat" by going back to work for someone, and the physical/mental/emotional stress of drowning in your sorrows isn't pleasant either.
I re-read their stories, found the pattern and came up with a solution. I knew it in my gut that I had to help. I knew that if I built the right team, that we could take this stress off of their plate. I KNEW that they could be successful.
At first I thought no one would agree to have us answer their phones…
But because I knew they needed it and I knew it would make them WAY more efficient...
So, I emailed back each and every one of the 30+ people who responded…
At first, they thought I was joking...
But then one said Yes…
And then another
So, I know you're wondering WHO were the ones who were crazy enough to stick with us after the 30 days, right?.
